This Privacy Policy explains what information PatentForge collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. We take the sensitivity of invention disclosures seriously.
Information We Collect
You provide directly: invention descriptions, technical field information, and any other content you type into the application. Automatically collected: basic usage data including page views and session counts. No personally identifiable information is collected in this process. Account information (paid tiers): if you subscribe, we collect your email address and payment information through our payment processor. We never store your full credit card number.
How Your Invention Data Is Handled
Your invention descriptions are transmitted to third-party AI infrastructure providers to generate research output. We do not store your invention descriptions on our servers after your session ends. We do not use your invention content to train AI models. We do not sell your invention data to any third party. AI processing is handled by providers whose own privacy policies govern their data handling practices.
Cookies and Local Storage
PatentForge uses browser localStorage to track free tier session usage. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. No advertising cookies are used.
Third-Party Services
Hosting provider — application delivery and analytics. AI infrastructure providers — processing your invention descriptions to generate research output. Payment processor — subscription billing (paid tiers only).
Data Retention
We do not retain invention descriptions. Email addresses for paid subscribers are retained for billing and account management. You may request deletion by contacting us.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting legal@patentforge.app.
Children
PatentForge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
